About the MMA
The MMA is a registered charity formed in early 2008 and now has two current roles to fulfil.
- The first is as an umbrella organisation formed to promote marshalling at all levels of motorcycle road racing throughout the UK. Our clubs and associations and their members provide marshalling services from amateur club race meetings through to British Superbike events and the prestigious world championships of the World Superbikes and Moto GP meetings. Our members attend meetings at circuits across the length and breadth of the country.
- The second role of the MMA is to provide Marshals for events that are being run by ACU Events, which in turn is part of the Auto Cycle Union, which is the governing body for motorcycle sport in the UK.
The MMA has a steering committee, which comprises of experienced Chief Marshals from a number of the member clubs. The Steering committee is responsible for setting the policy of the association. We hold regular seminars with representatives from our member clubs that facilitate a consistent and skilled approach to marshalling.
